Ilan Rekem is a screenwriter studying at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. His work is grounded in close observation, sharp character dynamics, and the comedy hiding inside earnest lives.
He has developed his story instincts through script coverage and consultation roles at Indigenous Media, Brooklyn Films, and Truly Adventurous. In Syracuse, he also founded Shipyard, a student-run outdoor music venue—turning an empty space into a living community.
